Celebrating the Solstice with Sacred Ritual
Saturday, December 21 at 9:00 AM -10:30 AM MT
Online - FREE. Donations are greatly appreciated.
I feel the need to come together in sacred ritual, in gratitude and evocation of the profundity and sanity of the world, to join in a like-minded, heart-based community to realign our nervous systems and join forces and hearts together for the tough times ahead.
We don’t know what the times will bring, but many of us feel dread and fear in the post-election bardo. Some of us feel numbness, and most of us feel groundlessness, especially if we’re in one of the many targeted marginalized populations.
In Karuna, we aspire to co-create a haven for our emotions and truths, to set aspirations, and to align with compassionate intentions. We do this for ourselves, the earth, and all her inhabitants.
Please join me in the community online for a Saturday Morning Winter Solstice Ritual. We will evoke the strength of community to celebrate the potency of the sun's rebirth returning to the Northern (or Southern) Hemisphere. Taking nothing for granted, we will express our gratitude to the Sun and illuminate our intentions going forward.
Sacred Rituals help us bind our bodies to our worlds and our aspirations! In an hour-and-a-half ritual, we will set the boundaries, call in the Five Buddhas for support and blessing, articulate our aspirations, and celebrate.
Karuna’s mission on this Solstice is to offer a sacred space for reflection and to offer all participants space and contemplation to set a personal aspiration for themselves, their families, or the world. You can keep your aspirations a secret or share them, and they can be witnessed by the other participants who attend.
Please come to evoke the sacred together. These are potent times in which we can intentionally remember to connect to our hearts, to the invisible forces behind the sun, moon, elements, and so forth, and to evoke our brilliant sanity in the community.
