At the turning of the year, when the sun begins its slow return, many of us feel the stirrings of both vulnerability and fierce hope. The aftermath of the year's news cycle and possibly personal challenges have left countless people with a lingering ache — dread, numbness, and a sense of groundlessness as widespread companions in our hearts. These sensations are not a result of personal failings; they are signals of a world in transition.
This Winter Solstice Ritual is an invitation to gather in sacred community, not to escape these times, but to meet them with steadiness, warmth, and courageous presence.
Karuna holds that ritual is not performance—it is nourishment. It binds our bodies back into belonging, reawakens gratitude, and reminds us of the invisible web of connection that sustains us. Together, we will invoke clarity, sanity, and aspiration so that our hearts may turn forward with intention rather than collapse or fear.
During this 90-minute online ritual, we will:
You may choose to keep your aspirations private or offer them to the community to be witnessed — both forms are welcome and held equally.
Karuna’s mission in offering this Solstice ritual is simple: to create a refuge for truth, tenderness, and alignment—for ourselves, for each other, and for the world we are shaping together.
You are warmly invited to bring your heart, your longing, your uncertainty, and your hope — and to stand shoulder-to-soul with others who are choosing courage over collapse.
Evoke the sacred with us, and help kindle the returning light.
