Karuna Live: Taking Space with Kindness
With Melissa Moore PHD
Saturday, June 17, 2023, from 10 - 11 am Mountain Time
FREE - ONLINE
We’ve learned the phrase ‘taking space,’ yet we often don’t know how to do so gracefully, especially with kindness toward ourselves and others. Can we hold space for others, meaning can we be present when they are in pain? Or do we need to offer advice and find a solution to fix their problems? Holding space is simply deep listening with non-judgemental consideration and love. Can we learn to hold space for others while honoring our own needs? Questions plague us sometimes, and we may feel like we are screaming for space. Sometimes we don’t know how to evoke space with kindness, and space can be daunting when we are used to filling space up.
In Karuna, we learn that space is an element and potentially an ally. We learn how to evoke space in our bodies through lovingkindness. Once we do so, we can evoke kindness and bring space to life’s difficult questions easily and thoughtfully.
We invite you to spend an hour learning Karuna's views and methods of evoking kindness; while opening up to the known places; we may desire to set boundaries - learn how to do so with kindness.
Please note the program is free, and there are no prerequisites.
